...the beginning of a different conversation
Honorable Capitalism? is a documentary-style film that relies on qualitative research in it’s exploration of the intersection of honor and capitalism. The film searches for common values often hidden by ideological beliefs.
Honorable Capitalism? avoids today’s ideological noise and rhetoric. Based on her personal experience as a casualty of the Great Recession, the film maker set out to better understand capitalism. Through 50 interviews, she explores why some prosper while others either remain or become disadvantaged in our capitalistic system. The film organically unfolds to reveal complex ideas—about success, privilege, poverty, employment, self-direction, disappointment, fulfillment and honor—and how they impact our increasingly networked world.
